Seminar on Food Quality and Safety

Seminar on Food Quality and Safety was held 17th of June 2009 in Helsinki. Seminar was held in the parliament house. The member of the parliament Mr. Juha Korkeaoja welcomed the guests to the seminar. The lecture topics varied from food safety standards to traceability in food chains.

Mrs. Carla Miani from Italy presented the Business Support Program (BSP) funded by the European Community in which the seminar was a part of. The program aims to ease the new and coming members of the EU to adopt the European legislation and directives. As a result of the final meeting it was evident that the BSP-project had been useful and the cooperation is needed also in the future.
