BFFE organized a science-based conference on Agricultural Water Protection and Sustainable Food Production in Hanasaari, Espoo. There were participants from almost all countries around the Baltic Sea as well as from the EC and Copa-Cogeca.
Farmers also designed the declaration where they expressed their care for the environment and willingness to further improve their practices.
The representatives of thirteen farmers’ organisations from eight countries around the Baltic Sea gathered in Stockholm for two days to agree on joint guidelines for a sustainable agriculture within the whole region.
The outcome of the meeting was a joint vision for a sustainable, environmentally friendly agriculture, which also contribute to economic sustainability. More information and all presentation from the meeting can be found on Baltic Deal's webpage.
