Juha Marttila continues as President of MTK

The council of the Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners MTK elected Juha Marttila from Simo to continue as MTK's president for the next three-year period 2023-2025. He has been the President of MTK since 2009. Marttila is an agronomist and holds a doctorate in agricultural and forestry sciences. Marttila run against Pekka Pesonen, Copa-Cogeca Secretary General, and won by votes 46-31.

The other seats of the MTK presidency were also for re-elections. Tero Lahti from Karstula was elected to replace Kauhava's Mauno Ylinen as the 2nd President for the next three-year term. In place of Markus Eerola from Hyvinkää, Arto Laine from Hattula was elected as the 3rd President for the next three-year term.

MTK's council met on 23-24 November 2022 in Espoo.
