Webinar 'How to achieve carbon neutrality in agriculture and forestry? - The first national climate road maps from Finland' on the 20th of November 2020.

The Finnish farmers and forest owners’ organizations, MTK, and SLC support the Finnish governmental plan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2035. In summer 2020, the sector-specific low-carbon roadmap for agriculture was created by the researchers. The forestry road map work was led by the Finnish Forest Industries. The road maps will present concrete actions that will lead to climate neutrality for agriculture and forestry. The webinar presents the first-ever national climate road maps for agriculture and forestry. We will share the concrete actions needed to achieve the climate neutrality, e.g. measures for peat soils, carbon sequestration and energy solutions. During the webinar the scientific basis of the road maps will be presented. We will also hear reactions from the European Commission and Parliament.
